Our story

It started because we needed a ladder.

Not a business plan. A ladder. And an extra pair of hands, and someone who'd done it before and could say "don't start on that side." HiNeighbor was born out of our own necessity, and it turns out that necessity is shared by almost every street in the country.

What we care about

Nobody should have to ask twice. Asking for help is the hardest part. We try to make it feel as ordinary as waving.
Your address is yours. You pick your neighborhood, you pick who sees your pin, and you can hide it entirely.
Barter counts. Dinner, a six-pack, a favor returned in spring. These are real currency between neighbors, and we treat them that way.
Small and local beats big and loud. We'd rather your block work beautifully than have a million strangers on a map.
